What is Memory Tiles?
All the mahjong tiles start face down. Turn over two at a time: if the pictures match, that pair is done. If they don't, both go face down again. Only one thing is being tested here, and that's your memory.
How to play
- Turn over one tile, then another.
- If the pictures match, the pair stays face up with a check mark.
- If they don't, both tiles turn back over a moment later. Remember where they are.
- Keep going until you've found every pair.
Good to know
- Three boards: Easy with 6 pairs, Medium with 8 and Hard with 10.
- A move counter: one move means turning two tiles. Your best is the fewest moves on each board.
- No time limit and no hints, just your memory.

Tips from Bos Naga
- Early on, turn over tiles you haven't seen yet. The more you know, the easier it gets later.
- Name the picture in your head, like "red dragon, top left". It sticks better than just looking.
- Work one area at a time, such as a single row, so your memory doesn't get muddled.
- If the first tile you turn over is one whose partner you've already seen, go straight for that partner.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know the names of mahjong tiles?
No. You only need to remember the pictures and where they are.
What happens if I pick the wrong tile?
No problem. Both tiles turn face down again, and now you know where two more pictures are. Even a miss helps.
How do I earn points?
Points come when you've found every pair: 10 points per pair plus extra points. The bigger the board, the more extra points. Your points never go down.
Does Memory Tiles cost money?
No. It's free, there's no sign-up, and the points are for play only.
